Important Guidelines for Applying for the CPTE

Application:

  • Your application MUST be submitted by the application deadline listed on this page.
  • You may only register for one administration of the CPTE at a time.
  • You must wait for your results to be released before re-applying for the CPTE.
  • If you need an accommodation so that you can apply, please email exams@alliancept.org.

Identity documents:

  • You must upload a copy of your valid, government-issued, photo identity document when you apply for the CPTE. The following types are accepted:
    • Canadian driver’s licence
    • Canadian permanent resident card
    • Passport
  • Make sure that the name on your client profile matches the name on the identity document you upload. This is important for exam day, because
    • Your remote proctor will confirm that the name on the appointment matches the identification you provide.
    • If the names do not match, the remote proctor has the right to deny you entry into the exam. If this happens, you will lose your entire exam fee.
